Once attached via the automatic, ‘lock-on’ mechanism, the opener removes lids without any contact whatsoever with the contents of the can/tin. It also prevents the all-too-common problem of lids falling into the can/tin. The device is safe to use as well as being hygienic: it doesn’t actually cut the metal, which ensures that unwanted sharp edges do not remain on either the can or the lid. After a full rotation around the lid - and a noticeable reduction in resistance - the can is open (and no more turning is required). To complete the job, simply lift the lid from the can using the mini-pliers/pincers.

How to use - 1

Once attached, turn the knob to engage the cutting wheel and then twist clockwise so that the LidLifter completes a full circle around the lid.

How to use - 2

Less resistance will be felt after a full circle is completed. Stop turning - the can is now open and the lid is ready to be removed.

WARNING: don't cut more than one full circle. Over cutting may create burrs or slivers that could cause injury.

How to use - 3

To release the LidLifter, turn the knob counter-clockwise. The can may not look open, but it is.

How to use - 4

Use the mini-pliers on the side of the opener to lift the lid away from the can. Grip the rim of the lid between the pliers and lift the lid cleanly and easily.
